Story yesterday on twitter Dorset way about a man who was rescued after putting his pants in the microwave to dry and starting a fire.

Jeremy Vine is covering this story on radio 2 this lunch time.

I emailed in saying back in the 1980's my mum started a fire in their new brown microwave by warming up a home wax kit!! They hadn't noticed the smell coming from the microwave, needless to say my dad wasn't impressed that their new microwave had layer on bottom melted.

Is clothing in microwave a common thing?!!!!

When I was into wheat bags in a big way, I over cooked them in the microwave. The smell was absolutely horrendous and afterwards it made the inside go all yellow, and decided to had to go unfortunately !!
